Articles published in POLARIS Journal of Maritime Research are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless otherwise specifically indicated.

Users do not need to obtain separate permission from the journal to read, download, copy, share, distribute, adapt, reproduce or otherwise reuse published articles, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Third-Party Material

Images, figures, tables or other material credited to third parties may not be covered by the article's Creative Commons licence. Permission for reuse of such material should be obtained directly from the relevant copyright holder where required.

Author Reuse

Authors retain copyright in their articles and may share, archive, reproduce and reuse their published work in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 licence.

Authors may deposit the published Version of Record in institutional, subject or other repositories without embargo.
